Children of Eden Jr leads us on an epic and vibrant journey from the beginning of creation, through the Garden of Eden with Adam, Eve and the cunning snake, to the wilderness beyond where they raise Cain and Abel, and generations later to Noah, his family and the ark (plus the animals!). Through each generation the parents must deal with the enormous consequences of their children’s actions. Ultimately, though, the bonds of family and love remain strong.
With divine music by Oscar, Tony and Grammy-winning composer and lyricist, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, The Baker’s Wife, Godspell, Pippin) and book by celebrated director and writer, John Caird (Jane Eyre- The Musical, Les Miserables- Youth Edition), this heartfelt musical is both joyous and moving, and suitable for all ages.
This new adaptation is alive with songs that will resonate with its audience including “The Spark of Creation”, “A World Without You”, “Lost is the Wilderness”, “Generations”, “Stranger to the Rain”, and the ever poignant “The Hardest Part of Love”.
